I bring this up because a lot of the great talent is Fiverr gigs from creators outside of the USA. Even if I outsourced stuff the margins would still be incredibly small. I could never make a living on Fiverr simply because I would have to crank out more than what is possible for one person. The cost of living here is pretty outrageous, that and self-employment taxes can be killer. I have had good success on Fiverr in the past, in fact, that is where both my brother and I got our caricatures. I also run 7+ different sites that probably could use new logos. But I was not quite ready to fork that over yet. Now don’t get me wrong, I fully believe in investing in your brand. The problem is their prices start at $299.
I have seen really bad ones and really good ones. I lot of people I know have used to get a logo and it has been hit or miss. I was never really happy with it, but at the time it worked. My previous woorkup logo was simply something I bought off of GraphicRiver a couple years ago for $20.
I am a huge fan of minimalist logos! If you look at all the biggest brands out there such as eBay, PayPal, Stripe, Uber, etc… they all have very minimalist logos.
